Best photo spots in Budapest

Fisherman's Bastion

No doubt Fisherman's Bastion has the best photo spot in Budapest. The view is beautiful to the city's other side and the atmosphere is like in a fairytale. I suggest you go as early as possible when there is no crowd yet. Around sunrise the lights are fabulous.

St Stephen's Basilica

One of the most significant tourist attractions and the third highest church in the country. It is named in honour of Stephen, the first King of Hungary. To find the best spot, I suggest you walk to Zrínyi Street, which is completely opposite the Basilica.

Buda Castle

Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex, sits on the southern tip of Castle Hill, surrounded by the touristic area. You can also find here the Hungarian National Gallery and The Budapest History Museum. You will find here many photo shoot location, which give a panoramic view or the castle building and garden provide the beautiful background.

Hungarian Parliament

It's a notable landmark of Hungary, and a popular tourist destination in Budapest. Parliament is situated on Kossuth Square in the Pest side of the city, on the eastern bank of the Danube. I suggest you walk around the largest building of the country, as it impress you from every point of view.

Batthyány Square

If you're looking for the best photo spot of the Hungarian Parliament, you need to cross the Danube river for it. Take the M2 metro line and get off at the "Batthányi tér" metro station. This viewpoint is facing directly the Parliament building.

Széchenyi Chain Bridge

Chain Bridge was the first permanent stone-bridge connecting Pest and Buda, It is one of the symbolic buildings of Budapest and admittedly it is also the most beautiful bridge in the country. Just walking through of it and you can get an amazing view over both the Buda and Pest sides.

City Park / Városliget and Vajdahunyad Castle

City Park is the largest park in Budapest, if you are looking for a close-to-nature places to take photos is that your place. Vajdahunyad Castle is located in the City Park and it is one of the romantic castles in Hungary. Every little corner offers a great opportunity for photography.
